See A. O. Smith Electrical Products at AHR 2004 - Booth

A . O. Smith Electrical Products Company will display an immense variety of new, innovative electric motors at the International Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Exposition (AHR) being held January 26 – 28, in Anaheim, Calif.

The company’s display will showcase an array of products including blowers and fractional horsepower motors, hermetic rotors and stators, and motors for commercial/industrial applications. Motors manufactured in China will be on display as well to demonstrate the company’s commitment to fulfilling the needs of its global OEM customers. Product spotlights in the A. O. Smith exhibit will highlight the latest innovations in OEM variable speed applications as well as new special OEM replacement motors for several different after-market applications.

A. O. Smith also will announce the addition of variable speed motors and fan systems using proprietary electronically commutated (EC) technology. The initial offering will be 60 to 220 watt designs in an industry-standard 92mm form factor to IP44. In addition, A. O. Smith will have a variable speed furnace demonstration unit operating throughout the expo to showcase the company’s new line of comfort speed motors for residential heating and air conditioning applications. Two new comfort speed fan motors have been developed by A. O. Smith to meet the extensive requirements of HVAC manufacturers, and the wide-ranging variety of applications in the residential market. The new Gemini™ motor contributes to improved system efficiency and quiet operation, particularly at lower speeds. The Gemini Plus™ is a series of fan and blower motors that consist of the motor and built-in electronics.

New for the replacement market, A. O. Smith has developed a line of special direct OEM replacements for Copeland and Krack condenser fan applications. These condenser fan replacement motors require no modifications and, thus, allow service technicians to require less inventory and save valuable time.

A. O. Smith’s sought-after line of Masterfit™ multiple horsepower replacement motors has expanded to include six condenser fan models and four direct-drive fan and blower models, offering technicians the largest variety of choice for replacement applications. The after-market display of A. O. Smith’s exhibit will also encompass the popular 4 in 1 motor, which was uniquely designed to operate efficiently and effectively at multiple horsepowers. On display as well will be the company’s newest addition to its line of replacement motors for oil burner applications, specifically for Beckett. High efficiency and low maintenance features of the oil burner replacement motor afford the benefits of a five-year warranty – one of the longest replacement motor warranties in the industry.
